About the project

ROMANSE is a EuropeAid-funded project involving four partners: Roma Resource Centre and Women’s Rights Initiative (North Macedonia), Symplexis (Greece), and Diesis Network (Belgium). Running from April 2024 to March 2027, the project aims to improve the social and economic inclusion of Roma women in North Macedonia, who face double discrimination based on gender and ethnicity, and have one of the highest unemployment rates among young women (18–24y).

ROMANSE includes capacity building for CSOs supporting Roma women’s social entrepreneurship, tailored training for young Roma women, a grant scheme for grassroots CSOs, creation of local partnerships to promote social entrepreneurship, and awareness-raising activities targeting Roma communities and the wider public.
